The Sankofa Studio

The Sankofa Studio is an advanced fine arts course rooted in Black artistic traditions, innovation, and cultural expression. Scholars will study the techniques and legacies of Black visual artists across the diaspora, from the Harlem Renaissance to contemporary Black futurists. They will develop their own portfolio through drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. This studio invites students to reach back, reflect deeply, and push their creative practice forward with intention and excellence.
