Lift Every Voice

Lift Every Voice is a music appreciation course that guides scholars through the rich traditions of classical music while amplifying the contributions of Black composers, musicians, and cultural influences. Through active listening, storytelling, and critical reflection, students explore how music shapes identity, builds empathy, and connects communities across time and place. This course invites scholars to hear their own voices in the legacy of sound and take flight through the power of music.
